The doctor said it breaks down the poison and kills the pain.You get it as hot as you can stand it the better.It works Chase would let us know when he needed more hot water when the pain would come back. I asked if Epson salt or antibacterial soap was needed and the Dr said no just hot water.
He did load him up on antibiotic pills. I have heard of guys running the hot water discharge off their boat motors for hot water for stingray hits if they have some distance to cover. Biggest thing to worry about is infection I have seen and heard some horror stories.
