First it's pretty tires, then it's pretty guns and bows....Next thing you know, you're shavin' your beard and wearin' capri pants
the only thing i can think of is that on some of the older bows you did not want a long tear drop shape that would have the V coming together right were the mod track started. you wanted the V just before it got to the track from the horn.
As long as they are made to the string and cable specs listed they should be good to go.

Some guys use too large a diameter of serving for the end loops...
