New Knife!!!
It took several weeks, but my wife and I finally picked out the knife she's getting me for our 1st wedding anniversary. Its a little more flashy than I originally wanted, but when I saw it, I knew it was the one. Should make for a mean deer, hog, turkey, etc...skinning son-of-a-gun.

That knife is love! Too fancy for the field tho... Ive got a special high-dollar knife I keep in my gear bag or garage until its time to unleash it for skinning. Im too afraid to take it in the woods with the fear of losing it.
Your knife looks like a perfect skinner...short sturdy blade. It might hurt a little to tighten that blade down in a lansky and put 17 degrees on it....excellent gift tho, you pick a good wife!

I think I'm gonna go with the KME sharpener for this knife and my SilverFlames. It's got neoprene b/w the clamp so it won't damage the blade. My wife definitely is the best. Hunts, fishes, buys me guns and knives...she's wonderful!Originally Posted by cordwood

That is a really neat damascus pattern in the blade. I have one like that with a high iron meteorite slice grafted into the blade. My uncle is a blacksmith and jewelry, knifemaker so I can recognize quality. Nice gift!
I am sure you are gonna wait for that 180" class deer to christen that bad boy aren't you??. I would treasure that Knife for a long time...

I'd be waiting a loooooooong time! They don't make 180" class deer where I hunt. I've only seen a handful killed that would make P&Y. And most of them were rifle kills.
