Default Trouble finding a rest that works for my Z28

Guys I'm new to Elite and love my Z28 except for one big thing. I'm having trouble finding a rest that will work and the Elite CS guy basically told me I didn't have a clue what I was doing. When I set my QAD pro at 7/8 to 15/16 centershot the left arm hits the curve in the shelf and will not allow the vanes to clear. The man I spoke to at Elite assured me that the QAD would work and that it was actually the best rest for the bow. I've tried several other rests and most of them will not even adjust far enough out to get to 7/8. What are you shooting and what do I need to do?

Adjust your rest as far back as possible,or until you can push on the rest and it clears the riser, that is what i did with my limbdriver on my GT500,works great.

I have used Limb driver and Expert II rests both on my Z28 and they worked very well.

The shelf on the 09 Z-28's have a curved, narrow shelf. You can make a QAD work but it will take some modifications. I had the same issue with my 08.5 GT.
I modified the forks with a dremmel. LOL!!
To avoid modifications get a G5 Expert II or Pro. It falls behind the shelf with no contact.

They say you can raise the rest up a little higher than running the shaft through the center of the berger hole and it will still tune fine.

Some versions of the QAD have a higher adjustment than others. I had the same problem with a New Breed, and QAD sent me a replacement piece that allowed me to raise the shaft a tad higher.

If your Z is a 2009 it's possible you have one of the riser that had the berger holes drilled low. I had one like that and there is almost no way to get a QAD rest to work properly without either setting it way high or having it smack the shelf. I ended up sending my bow back to Elite for a riser swap for one with correct holes then switched to a G5 Expert ll rest. problems solved.
