IMO turkeys are tempermental, moody birds that can be hot one day and cold the next. One year I had 3 giant toms tripping over each others beards to get to me. I shot the first one at 15yards, the other two stuck around gobbling and stomping on the dead bird. Next year never got a bird within 60 yards. Point being what worked for you before will work again, its just catching the right bird in the right mood. Keep hunting hard and your luck will change. One thing however that can make a big difference in the area you hunt is if new hunters have moved in and have got the birds pressured or call shy.
