Default anyone having a turkey dry spell????????

So , im a huge turkey hunter , went 4 years in a row killing big birds, me and my bro in law got 2 doubles 2 years in a row, then last year we hunted hard , i mean HHHAAARRRRDDDD, every morning, every night , every day, all season long, and nothing , so this year , arkansas decides to make the season short and make it a week later then usual, and not allow us to kill jakes, which i highly agree with, well first weekend this year , wind blows 40 mph, its 30degrees and a 15 year old kid who also hunts the land cut me off and got infront of the bird i was calling and actualy kills the bird i was calling in, so at least i called one in and it got shot, haha, just wrong person killed it, so the next day got up and nothing anywhere, so now its been raining for a week straight ,we have had over 5 inches of rain, birds did absolutly nothing yesterday and this morning, THEN FINALY we got done eating dinner with the fam today and looked outside up in the hill , and there he was, beard hanging on the ground, put our stuff on got the guns , took the 4 wheelers around got above him , seen some hens he was with , didnt see him , so we sat down bout 70 yards from the hens, made 1 put and he hammered , called to him again he hammered again, closer , then he starts gobbling lookin for us , gets about 35 yards right over the hill, where we cant see him, we can here him drummin , then the freaking rain comes a pouring and he shuts up, and wouldnt ya know it ,the hens go down hill and he follows. story of my life, we got rain coming in all week besides thursday and friday and then alot more rain this next weekend, so i might be calling in sick on thursday or friday, haha. Anyone else having probs like this.

Not much time for hunting around here...what with trying to get the ark built and all.

Two weeks ago we were seeing a lot of birds (our season doesn't start till Wednesday) but as you said, it has been raining (pouring actually) for a week solid, with no end in sight, and we are seeing NOTHING!
