Yea man they are into them there. I thought they were Asian carp? Maybe silver is a different name for same fish. they are a big problem, if they get in the great lakes they can kiss the walleye and other good fish goodbye.

    They ARE Asians.
There are two species of Asian carp (neither of which are actually carp), silvers, and big heads.
Silvers are the ones that jump.
Bowfishing asians is a BLAST! If you have not done it before, I highly recommend it.

If you were to run down that river at any speed someone would get hurt. I have had the occasional mullet jump in the boat underway but they are no where near the size of those guys.

I had the opportunity a few years ago to go to Peoria IL and shot them on the river with Chris Brackett (Arrow Affliction). It was AWESOME! We shot them right out of the air with a 40# bow. They will jump over 10' high, its crazy. I got 6 in the boat and the biggest weighed 24 pounds. Also got smacked by a few and it leaves a mark!
