Default What makes the E-500 praised so much?

A lot of folks are bragging on the E-500. Can someone tell me the specs on this bow and why you like it so much? I'm interested in getting one down the road and I'd like to get some ideas why I want one so much....

First lets start with the Riser. Probably one of the best looking cut-out risers Elite ever produced, next to the SBH energy of course. Second it generates some great speed and has awesome specs, the specs I like for a bow roughly 34" A-A and a 7" BH. Just holds and shoots good and once again speed! Did I mention the "bow pimp" has two back in his stable now?

Plus, so many options for feel on the draw. Between smooth, speed, and 500 (which I have never tried) mods, there are so many options to basically have a different bow depending on the mood you're in.

Actually If the 07 synergy would of had the E500 riser and limb angles you would have a super bow. It has the speed and rotating mods. with a speed mod option for the longer draw lengths. Only thing the riser was blocky feeling and short ATA.
E500 was my first "Reason for the love" sentimental part I guess. But the GT500 shot alot better for me. E500 had speed to wast. It was just a great bow and not like it wouldn't shoot, just a tad touchy compared to the longer bows like the Pure or GT. JMO!

The bow is a flat out screamer. I'd say its the 2nd fastest bow ever made by Elite with a 7" BH with the Envy being first. As mentioned you have the flexibility of using 3 different mods for your shooting comfort. EZ, S and 500. I have never shot it with anything but 500 Extra Speed mods and had the Predator E-500 that I'm getting back shooting a 478gr arrow 285fps. At 34" ATA and a 7" BH its a tack driving speed demon. The E-500 is the bow I used to once cut a 2 1/2" target in half with a broadhead at 50 yards. At 70lbs its a bit stiff to draw but not overwhelming. I would reckon at 60lbs it would work quite nice for you Remmy.

I still have a soft place in my heart for my old E-500. That bow absolutely shocked me when I set it up and shot it. It had a great valley and was dead in the hand on the shot. Until I put her thru the chrono I would have bet anyone it was 40fps slower than it was.

Thanks to all.......I guess I had better secure one if nothing else to have one to work with and make it suit my shooting ability.....Can you find any of the different cams without too much difficulty?

I know about the "PIMP"......better know as "the hoarder"........I'm just wondering, when he had 17 Elite bows......what were in that hoard? Must have been some dandys!

Wel for me I never felt the love, it is all what everyone described but I just liked my GT500 better. The E500 had a serious draw length problem, mine was 3/4 in long, I finally had to get other mods to shorten it and when you compare apples to apples with it and other Elites the speeds were very close.

To answer your question as to why you want one, you are a sick man, just like the rest of us.
