Default Is it worth it to swap to Rev cams on an 09 GT-500?

I will be getting an 09 GT-500 this afternoon to compliment my XXL and I was wondering if it is worth it to swap to the newer REV cams on it (GT-500)? What are the benefits to this? If I remember correctly, weren't the older cams a little faster than the new ones? Also were the older cams draw lengths right on or were they a little long? I am probably about a 28.5" draw and this bow is a 28" but I got a good deal on it so I will deal with the draw length later. Thanks.

longer valley-higher let-off, only a few fps slower. when you tune this thing if you like lots of let-off the 28 inch cam might be just right! might not. play with it before you decide

    I got a set of 2010 cams for my 09 GT500 and I don't regret it.
Like Rg said...longer valley, a lot more letoff(85%) and it makes it more comfortable to shoot. You can relax and hold all day while that buck is getting to your shooting lane.
I didn't notice any speed difference.
The Dl on the 09 cams is about 1/4 to 3/8" long. The 2010 cams are just about spot on DL depending on how you tune the bow.

The 09 cams can be tuned to have just as much valley and let off as the 2010 cams. The only advantage to the 2010 cams is they are modular.

I agree. But the mods are nice to fit for resale or fit for a buddy to shoot the bow.

Not arguing here, but I never could get as good a valley on my 09 GT as I have now with the '10 mod cams. At least not while keeping the bow in proper specs.

I did not see any difference I installed the new ones on my 09 paid about $120.00 plus shipping twice, same speed, same valley and that is ajustable through the draw stop. The change would be the Mods and the chance of the screws coming loose. I like the new ones because they shoot like the old ones do and the way it feels and shoots. Shoot what you like it will make all the difference in the world.
Plus I just like to tinker with it.
    just my two cents
