Default My bow hand an the arrow shelf

It seems when i place my bow hand on my 2010 Z28..It seems to end up directly under the arrow shelf..Like hand to shelf contact..Is this going to cause problems for my torque wise etc.??
First it's pretty tires, then it's pretty guns and bows....Next thing you know, you're shavin' your beard and wearin' capri pants

A lot of guys like the shelf sitting on top of thier hand. I personally don't as it causes me to torque the bow. I put a self adhesive non skid strip on my grip to keep my palm from sliding up to the shelf.

Most of the really good archers Ive watched or really looked at the grip they use seem to like the hand against the shelf. Cradling the arrow shelf. Dont know if its right for you but I'm learning more about a consistent grip from others shooting high scores.
Do it the same way everytime, like anything else in archery is the key.

I've adopted this method also and really like it. I'm shooting better now than ever before.

I do this as well, but you need to be conscious of where you place your index finger as you can easily get fletching contact on your knuckle. I make my hand/finger placement part of my shot sequence so I'm consciously thinking about it. I first seat the riser in the pocket of my palm, I lower my index finger and barely touch the front of the grip (front of the riser) with it, and I tuck the other three to the side. As mentioned, you want consistency in everything you do in your shot sequence.

Repeatability is the key to accuracy. In theory more points of contact will help with repeatability. The shelf touching your grip hand is NOT a bad thing.

Well that gives me some comfort..For the past 3 years i have only striven to be a a not so serious shooter..I dont compete anywhere. But i am wanting to step up my accuracy an mental game due to the challenge an to improve my maximum effective shooting range..My current goal is to consistently put all arrows in 3 or 4in circle at 40yrds...I realize this is not a lofty goal..I feel once i get my Z28 tuned well..An work out the few kinks in my form an shot execution..I should be able to accomplish this..
