FOR NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Both my GTO's had clean threads. I think it was just an isolated event.
I split arrows on command
I have not had any problems but I clean both the rest and sight holes with a tap as soon as i get the bow.... It just makes everything easier....
i clean out all the holes with a tap before i begin the install.
I always clean out the threaded holes on a bow with a tap, just as I do on arrows after glueing in inserts makes things alot easier.
I have a few elites
My XXL was ok in the sight holes and berger holes. My GTO the berger hole was fine but I still haven't put a sight on it so I don't know about those.

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandad did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.
I actually broke my sights screws off once in a Synergy I bought .. Of course Elite took care of me but... It was stupid of me to try and force the screws in after they both jammed up... Ever since that day.., I bought some taps for both rest holes and sight screws to clean when I get a new bow... Just to chase whatever junk that might be in there out.. It happens with most bows.. I have set up quite a few bows at our local proshop and have to chase a bunch from every bow maker,,,
The first things I do when I get a new bow is to chase the holes with a tap for the sight and the rest and then make sure all screws are tight before I do anything else.

Same here on my 07 synergy. I didnt have a tap, so i slowly threaded and backed out a screw till i cleaned it out. Would have prefered to have a tap. Never had to do that on any other bow.....
