    Default Bow Recommendation for Dad

    Guys,

I am looking to buy my dad a used bow for his birthday. As much as I would like to get him a pure or hunter, a $800 expendature is not in my budget right now. He is currently shooting an old Martin that he cannot pull because of a reconstructed shoulder. I am looking to get a 50-60# bow. What would be an easy pulling bow? I believe he has a 29-30" DL. I would like to get an Elite for him. He wants to get back into hunting now that he is the bionic man, 2 hips and a shoulder full of metal and ceramic. Thanks guys... and cost is a factor...

Look for a used Elite Z28 on here or on archerytalk and you can probably find a good deal, should be pretty easy to find one with a 29" draw length. It pulls pretty smooth.

My dad has the same problem so a couple years ago I got him a Mathews Drenalin because it was light and the draw cycle was not harsh. I'm wanting to change his bow so I'll probably get a Z28 or a Hunter in #50-#60.

Just looked on AT, and there is a 2009 GT500 in 50-60# with a 29.5" draw for $475, that wouldn't be a bad choice either.

Try to find him an 09 or 10 model Z28. You can possiable pick up last years 2010 from a dealer for around $625.00 maybe. Z28 one smooth pulling bow. Not 100% sure but I think dealers can sale last year models via interent. Someone here will correct me if Im wrong
