    Default Xlr/pure

I'm still learning about Elite, My question is this, is the '11 Pure the replacement for the XLR? I have a 31.5" draw so I like both, just cant decide. Is there really any difference in the two? Does any out there have both? Right now i just hunt and shoot 3-d. I'll buy a Tour when i get into spots. I apologize if I'm confusing anyone or asking a dumb question. (been known to do that!!)thanks for any help.

    Jason.

    Default Welcome to the forum...

The Pure is a bow similiar to the GT500, the XLR is similiar to the Tour.

Ok. I have a bowtech admiral that was setup wrong and the draw length is way too short (29.5). Decent bow but never felt right because of the draw length and the pro shop attitude was horrible. Time to move on and everyone i talk to about elite has nothing but great things to say. Heading to our local shop later this week. Thanks again.

Cool, first thing is to get your correct draw length nailed down. Then shoot all the bows he has, even other brands, shoot everything, make a small list about the primary uses of this bow and base your decision off what feels best and what your using it for. Take your time, you are spending a lot of money. Ask for advice here or PM me if you need it. A happy archer is an archer that stays in the sport and recruits others. I want you happy, I might be able to help.

Now that is some of the best advise I have heard in a long time. Only thing I would add is with your extremely long dl, an 8" bh bow would be like a 7" bh bow to a normal 29" dl person. Keep that in mind when making your decision.

I have both I liked the xlr but the pure is the way to go in my opinion. With your draw length on the pure I would guess you'll be close 340 fps ibo. The xlr wont be close to that.

Thanks everyone! The more i hear about elite the more excited i get. Can't wait to put my hands on a Pure. The pro shop also sells mathews and I'm going to try the Z9. We'll see how it goes. Trying them out is the most fun for me. Eagle, can't wait to get addicted!
