    Default May convert to Elite

I have been a Hoyt shooter since 1993. I have a bad right shoulder and am right handed...I am having trouble pulling back any bow...I am thinking about the Elite Hunter at 29 inch draw and at 60 lb. Give me some reasons why I should convert to the Elite family....thanx

Welcome to the forum . All you have to do is shoot one and check out the warantee. I also have bad shoulders . There's something about the draw cycle on the Elite's that makes them so easy to draw . But shoot whatever you like , no matter what Elite model it is . Look at the money you'll save on sandpaper .

My dad had a total shoulder replacement. He shot an old ben Pearson for years till the accident. After the surgery the only way he could bow hunt afterwards was with a crossbow. Last year I bought him a 50-60# z28. He has killed 3 deer with it and sold his crossbow. And before the elite he tried all of the big 3 and felt like he was going to be crossbow hunting for the rest of his life. And now he's happier than ever!!!

With a bad shoulder, I would recommend you find an elite dealer in your area and try the bow out. I would recommend a trying a 60# bow backed out to 50# for your testing. Draw the bow slowly as the valley is short and the wall is solid, unlike the hoyt which is a little spongy at full draw. Do this, and if the bow does not hurt your shoulder I would bet you pull out your credit card on the spot.

You won't be sorry if you get the Hunter..the draw is super smooth.. I have dislocated my left shoulder 3 times and my right one 4 times so I know shoulder issues. Done it twice by sneezing (lol) ... Anyway the Hunter is great.
    Let god handle it !!!

High everyone, I've been following the forum for a couple of years, generally my input wouldn't make a difference, but this time I think one should point out to Mule that you don't need to Pull 50,60 or 70 pounds; you need only have 40 pounds or less (35lbs) to kill any game in North America. You won't be less of a man killing the animal with 40lbs or 70lbs, in fact the lower draw wait may give you the added strength needed to hold your shot and provide for better shot placement.

I understand the weight thing..I ran a shop for 10 years...The more weight you shoot the more uncomfortable it can become. I am not one who goes out for speed...my saying is ....if you shoot a faster bow you will just miss quicker....thanx for the input....I am looking for a comfortable and managable weight...
