I'd prefer it not be shot yes but there isn't really anything I can do about it. Here is a solution, bow shops can go back to the old days where the manufacturer's actually have the bows made and ship the bows to dealers and the customer picks up the bow off the rack and buys it. If a manufacturer is confident in their product, there is no reason for them not to have inventory. Its not like these are customer choppers.

Yeah, I'd be p'd off....I'd also be getting it for a discount, that's for sure.
These are still those days Chip. The bow I mentioned earlier was for hanging on the wall. along with 4 others for just that reason. so people could have bows to shoot and buy or special order from. I would have more but some guys found it as easy to test them and find them used on forums for less money. Sorry rant for another thread.
No ifs and or buts Just maybee.
Everyday I read these archery forums and I think, I need to be running one of these companies. I ain't smart enough to design my own bow or have the capital to market it, but if I did, you know where they would be made? Ain't telling until all the other companies come clean about where theirs are made.![]()

If I paid for the bow OR had a sizeable deposit on it , it's MY bow.
No one else IMO should be shooting it unless I give them permission.
I think the shop owes your buddy an apology and discount at the very least.

I will say this, it was a HUNTER bow so it was an Elite dealer but that really doesn't matter what bow it was. I think the dealer ought to have enough respect for a customer to let the buyer open his box and example what he has purchased. I like the way Smeagol put it. I told the guy that and he is thinking seriously about refusing the bow and going elsewhere.

I think this is greatly overreacting.
Some guys saying the dealer should not ever open the box prior to them getting there is just ridiculous as well.
It is a bow for crying out loud.
Would it be nicer to ask, yeah, does it REALLY matter, NO!!!!!!!! It is not a used bow because 2 guys standing in the shop fired 2 or 3 arrows through it.
Good grief. I need an emoticon for "internet overreaction".

I agree TCF. It's a freackin bow with a lifetime warranty and some of you guys are acting like it's a woman that your about to marry. Guess what? She was tested, does not have a lifetime warranty and you still bought her.'
