Default Would this put a burr under your saddle?

I've been talking to another good fellow and he ordered a bow and it came in the other day and the dealer had it out of the box and letting others shoot the bow like it was a shop bow. I think I would be a touch irate over that. How would you feel and what action would you take with a dealer that did that?

Yea that would be unacceptable to me without a previous discussion of doing just that.

If they had asked first, I would be more than happy to allow others to try out the bow. But without permission, a whole different story.

I mean a person has no way of telling how much it had been shot, or by how many people. Was it treated with respect or banged around? Was it dropped or dry fired?

People who do not have the respect to ask first, will not have respect for the bow or your property, and will not inform you if there was a mishap with your bow.

I would be tempted to tell them to keep that one as a shop bow, and order a new one for me. Or demand a refund and go to the next dealer down the road. I just wouldn't trust them, or the bow.

I would ask the shopw owner to order me a new bow. If he would not, I would ask for my money back and take my business elsewhere. The only people who should be pulling back your ordered bow is the tech setting it up, the hooter shooter and you.

The above opinions is what I told him.....I would be quite upset and let him know about it. I don't think the dealer should even open the box unless you are there to see it come out of the box.

First off I would be extremely irate due to the fact that they did not have the decency to ask me first. Obviously by the dealer doing this they would have no respect for the customer, so if anything should go wrong I would be skeptical to think that they would do whats necessary to fix the problem. This says a lot for their customer service and how they value the consumer. I would tell the dealer to keep the bow, and they can eat the cost of it. I would tell them I'm taking my business to another shop who would respect me as a consumer, because who knows what happened to the bow or how much it had been shot. I would not allow the shop to try and rectify the situation, because if they do not respect me I feel they do not deserve a second chance or my business. Let's face it bows are expensive, and as long as someone knows it's not their bow they are not going to respect it as if it was theirs. Too much to take a gamble on, I work too hard for my money to allow my equipment to be abused by any Tom, Dick, or Harry that wanted to shoot it.

I'd be kinda pi$$ed (to put it lightly).

Did your buddy already pay for the bow?

It's one thing to have bows on the wall and take one down and throw a rest on it and let customers shoot it, it's another thing to take a customers bow out of the box that was on order and set it up to let a would be Captain Dry-fire shoot it.

What if the guy did dry fire it or draw back to hard with the stops not being checked to make sure they were tight and trash the draw stops/cams? Or even better yet dropped it after the shot. How long of a wait for replacement parts or a whole new bow because that one would now be a shop bow, I know I wouldn't want that one now if something had happened.

If the shop owner did not ask the customer who paid for the bow if he could use it as a demo then that is totally uncalled for, if the shop wanted a demo bow they should have ordered one. That guy more than likely paid and then waited a few weeks for it to show up, I would not be happy if it was my bow.

Some people say I'm angry, I think I'm just misunderstood.
