    Default Hand Shock

I have heard so much about "Hand Shock" lately that I have to ask. How big of a deal is this to you? I personally don't care, and actually like some feed back from the bow. As long as it is quiet, what's the big deal? It's not like we are shooting high powered rifles or hand guns.

I like my bows to fall forward at the shot, not violently but just fall forward so I can tell if I induce some torque into the shot.
    Good ?

I have to tell you that the bows these days don't have hand shock compared to the bows we used to shoot many years ago. I started shooting before compounds were made and when I got my first one, I was like WOW , how awesome is this! The bows of today are outstanding in all aspects.

i have a diamond machete that has a good bit of hand shock...for me its a mental thing...i can shoot my elite a heck of a lot better than my diamond, cuz that "bump" in my hand takes me away mentally from the shot...with my elite having none at all, i can focus on the shot and there is nothing distracting me during the shot, so im much more proficient...i dunno maybe I'm just a retard...but that's how i look at hand shock

your not a retard. I feel the same way. if I feel alot of vibration in the bow. Im more likely going to hurry or be twitchy shooting it.

I never thought of that. I guess I focus so hard on the target, that I don't pay attention to my shot sequence.

The Golden Eagle that i started with would really let you know the bow had power=loud + kick, but it was very accurate.Todays bows are smoooooth in comparison no doubt.I didn't mind the hand shock with my first bow, until i shot a newer parallel limb bow,now i don't like shooting that old bow but i still won't get rid of it.

If you feel vibration in a bow nowadays, you know something is way wrong. I was just shooting my Synergy XT and no vibes, shock, nothing but the string and arrow hitting the target.
