    Default 60# GTO Speeds

Well, the long wait has finally ended, about 10 1/2 weeks total. Bows set up some what, have to walk back to 45 yds, and I put it through the chrono to compare to what Michael got. So here it is.

    289 gr arrow - 330
300 gr arrow - 331, this is the speed Michael got with loop only
    332 gr arrow - 309
347 gr arrow - 305, I hunt with this one
386 gr arrow - 290, have hunted with this as well, deadly for elk
    412 gr arrow - 278
    424 gr arrow - 275

I lost 4 fps by adding a peep.

Also originally had a biscuit on it and it was 5 fps slower. Once the Kazaway came in I set it up and the above speeds are with the Kazaway, peep, loop, 29" draw at 61.8#'s. Not to bad.

Bows 16fps faster than my 04 Bowtech Extreme, not much but the GTO holds like a rock. The draw kind of reminds me of a Mathews Switchback in a way, but, your not holding a boat anchor when you have a hold of the GTO. It pulls evenly all the way and just drops into the valley and you hardly even notice it.

I feel this is the best bow I have ever shot and I might buy another one for a back-up.

Yea, the Mathews just felt so heavy I couldn't stand it. Didn't buy the thing thats for sure. I think I'll get out tomorrow and set all my pins up and do the walk back, last pin will be 85 yards....or 90

    Congrats

I am curious though as to how you are losing 5 fps with a biscuit.
Of 3 bows I've chronoed they were all the same or within 1 fps.
All bows were tested at the same time to check this very thing with several different rests.
I'm not doubting you just wandering why some lose speed and some don't?

Just curious as to where you got the idea to use a KazAway rest. That's all I use and I think that rest is great.

90 yards? good luck with that! The weight wasnt really an issue with me. 4lbs is ok with me. It was the wall that impressed me most. It took me about 10 or so shots to adjust to it compared to the switchback XT and drenalin. But it felt pretty dang good in my hands, not to mention the grip which was wonderful.
Have fun tuning the GTO tomorrow and get us some pics.

You got me?? All I know is it picked up 5fps when I changed over to the kazaway. The odd thing is my Extreme loses 3 fps. Now why wouldn't they be the same?? But maybe, I did not have the bisquit tuned as well as I do the fallaway?? But then again, the Extreme is punching bullet holes with the bisquit so maybe 3fps is more like it should be???????

The wall is to die for your right and I love the grip as well, thank god its not like the X-Force.

From you guys of course there is a thread in here about the best fallaway rest and the kazaway is mentioned, so I tried it, like it a lot better than the limbdriver. Like the fact that it is hooked to the cable slide and not a cable too.
