Saw a new Pure last night shoot threw the chrono.

Out of the box 28" Pure-
    Maxed 60 lb limbs
    Biscuit rest
    Loop
    398 gr arrow

Shot 262 fps, the amazing thing was only a .2 fps deviation over a string of 6 shots.

This was/is 20 fps faster with the same arrow than the customers older Mathews at 30"/62lbs.

Also 12 fps faster with the same arrow than a 2010 Z28 at 28"/60lbs.

Approx. 20fps because of the 98gr. above the 300gr. + 2x 12fps because of the 2" of DL + 3 fps for the 60# setup >>>does 47 fps to deduct from advertised IBO of average 328fps.

    328-47= 281fps!

    What's so amazing?
(unless the loop was fixed with lead clamps)

    No need for a guru.

You sure you only lose 20fps on a 60lb bow with 98 extra grains of arrow weight?
I thought it was 2fps for every 5 grains.?
No ifs and or buts Just maybee.

    I used: http://www.backcountrybowhunting.com/articles/tools.php
to calculate the speed, and I came up with a speed of 267.6fps with 20gr on the string.
That puts this Pure just under IBO. But once you take into account the fact that there was a Whisker Biscut on it... and knowing that some fletches really really dissagree with them, I would say that that bow is bang on spec.

But the fact that you had a 0.2fps standard deviation.... AMAZING!!! That is one finely tuned bow.
I have arrows from the same batch that shoot with a higher deviation than that, so I know that that 0.2 is from the arrows and not the bow.

I really would have been tempted to buy this Pure after seeing that demonstration.
The key to accuracy is consistancy, and a 0.2fps standard deviation is as consistant cas one could ask for.

You should always keep a spare set of fixings on hand.

After all, you never know when an emergency may come up, and you have to dress up a brand new bow to shoot.
