Default GTO Cam settings and adjustment questions

OK well, I have now had my GTO a week or so. I love the fit and finish of the bow but have some problems with it that you guys might be able to help with.

To begin, the bow does not have more than 60-65% letoff. There is no valley at all and it tries to rip your arm off with any little movement. I have shot binaries for some time now and have never had such a poor valley. I am wondering if the draw stop can be moved to improve this? The manual says not to move it from the factory setting but I had to do this on another binary and the valley improved along with getting the appropriate letoff.

The string also had to be reserved after a few shots due to a separation. And the last minior issue was the cable guard was not tightened on it from the factory.

Let me know what you techs think about the draw stop adjustment. The manual does not give any details and I don't want to lock up the cam.

Mine came the same way. Adjusted the draw stop so the cable stops on the cams just about touch at full draw, this gave me about 80% and a good valley

You can move it, just move it about .040 to start with and then about .010 at a time until you achieve the desired let-off.

    Default lock-out

be very careful with this. i just locked out my gto on draw board and cables were not even touching anti-lockout posts on mods. why can this happen?

if the bow is not properly tuned and the letoff goes beyond 80% this is a posibility

Default What to do if your bow locks

So what do you do if your bow locks? I certainly don't want to move the peg too far and cause this to happen. If it does what do I do?

So far I adjusted the draw stop a little over 1/8 inch and it is dramatically better. I will check the letoff actually percentage tomorrow. I am guessing it is about 70-75% letoff now. There is now a slight valley, however I would like to move the draw stop a little further but am worried about the bow locking up.

Thanks for your suggestions - Kevin and forum members!

I too am curious about this, I set mine according to the 8.5x11 in piece of paper in the box. Not very precise tho I am afraid, but it did help the Valley and letoff Slightly.
