XLR for Hunting applications?

Does anyone use their XLR for hunting or is it meant to be a target bow only. Im looking for a long axle to axle bow with a forgiving brace height to hunt (mostly treestand hunting) with that will go out to 31.5" Draw length.

I live in South Africa and have 2 XLR`s . One in 70# and one in 80#. These are the only bows I hunt with. I have a 32" dl and have never owned or shot anything better in my opinion.

I agree- It's just a tool to get the arrow through two lungs. If you like the feel of it, go for it. Confidence is everything.

I use mine for everything...Only issue is in a ground blind w/ my longer draw of 31.5"

The XLR is an excellent hunting bow.....forgiving geometry to shoot, plenty of speed, and 37" ATA is not a problem in the woods. Get one....or two today!!!

buy all means grip it and rip it. I have enough energy out of mine at 60# and 30" draw to drop animals.

got a very nice Impala Ram and a superb blesbok...

my setup:

xlr 64,9 lbs - 26,5" dl -
easton st. excel 340 28" - 475 gr total arrow weight
125 gr German Kinetic Silver Flames (just my opinion, the best 2 blade BH... but very expensive)
sword acu sight 5 pins (the small ones)
special hunting stailizer (made in germany) works well with every setup, due to the good tuning options... if anyone wants to know pm me

important parts of the setup:
patience
good sense of humor
and some great hosts (thanks to lammie and allison from daretobowhunt )
