they tried to before with the agile. didnt work out then, why would it now? just stick with 2 cams.

I learned quick those GTOs don't run on faith.
I'd be surprised to see one again unless they do one for a super smoothy, afterall that other solocam company is singing at the duel cam campfire now. The Aigil was Elites attempt at it but was every bit as stiff as the two cams but 10-15 fps slower so I don't think it was a good seller.
Now do something innovative and put the single cam on the top limb with small solar panels to light your sight and the integrated flashlight, call it the "Solar cam" then you might have something.

I have an Elite single cam bow and love it, but it's got 2 cams on it though.
