    Default Need Some Help

Long story short I bought a 2010 GT500 off of AT in early June after having all of my bows stolen in May. I like the bow, it's quiet and feels great, but last week I came up with an issue.

The bow is 29" DL 60# max, and the issue I'm having is an inability to broadhead tune. No matter what I do, I recieve a right tear in paper and my BH's impact left. Stiff spine indication, right, so I went to a shop last night and shot both a 400 static spine shaft with a 125 grain point, and a 500 static spine shaft with a 125 grain point, and I got the exact same results, as did the shop tech that also shot the bow to see if it was me. The tech then checked my cam lean, and found that my bottom cam leans a decent amount (arrow laid on cam is 1" away from string by the string stop).

I've been trying to contact elite's tech department and customer service all day, left messages and haven't heard back. I have a hunt in a 10 days and need this resolved as I don't want to shoot mech heads.

Any ideas on what the problem could be? Tiller is perfect, cam timing is dead on, and the bow draws 60#'s. The tech at the shop seemed to think I'll need new limbs to fix the problem?

Make sure the spacers between the cams and limbs are correct. That being a 2010 model I doubt that is the problem.

Swap the limbs around, top to bottom and vice versa. I had to do that to a Z28 and that fixed the problem.
This is as long as there are no rest/arrow contact problems, the cams are synched at full draw and ata, bh, dl, and dw are within specs.

    What rest?
    Could just be the spacers.

It would be great if simply swapping limbs or adding spacers would fix it, but how do I get that taken care of? I took the bow to an Elite dealer (40 miles away) over the weekend and competency didn't seem too high in that shop. I REALLY need this fixed ASAP to get my pins dialed in for the KY opener and I'm running out of time.

This right here would be my very 1st place to look for the problem.

I bet the spacers are the issue. Check that before you start swapping limbs.

Contact one of the knowledgeable dealers, like Maybee on here, and he can guide you through the process of determining if you have a spacer issue and steps to get it resolved.

Also, it sounds like you drove to one of our many dealers here in Texas.

My 2010 GT500 is doing the same thing. In process of building a drawboard and a press to try to fix it myself as there are no Elite dealers within at least little under 2 hour drive from here. Although I am getting a right tear in paper at 9 feet, I back up to 15 feet and it shoots bullets. It walkback tunes with field points great and stacks them in there at any yardage I shoot at. Havent tried it with broadheads yet though!!!

First set your rest 7/8ths off the shelf and 13/16 from the riser to center of the launcher.
then sight in field points. after your sighted in test shoot a broad head. if its left move the rest toward the field points. resight in the field points, and check broad heads again.
I doubt its a spacer problem but if the cam is leaning at rest you could swap the limbs and see if that corrects it. also make sure you dont have any contact with the cables or the rest with fletching. No1 problem I see. Your welcome to give me a call if it helps. 509-949-5990 is my cell.
No ifs and or buts Just maybee.
