    Default Hand made press fingers!

I'm building a press for Huntsteven who is on here. He wanted a linear press that I make but with fingers that would work with bows with draw stops like our Elite's, and also with non draw stop bows like Hoyt. I used to be able to buy water jet cut fingers from guys on AT but no more. Instead, I came up with interchangeable finger tips made from .625 square stock. There are 2 sets of finger tips, one which allows the finger to fit under the draw stop like on Elite's. They work great.

What are you charging for that press, and how many more are you making?

What would you charge a fella for the fingers?

I'm not too sure if I have the money or the room for a press, but I have to ask.

I'm making this current press for $300. But...not sure if I would do more for the same price. This is the first time I've had to build my own fingers and it was pretty time consuming since I'm doing them in my garage with limited tools, not in a machine shop.

I'd probably do sets of fingers for $50 shipped.

Have you had any trouble replacing axles when split limb bows are pressed?
I wonder if adjustable fingers wouldnt be a better option. I have a buddy building them adjustable and it looks like a sweet way of doing them. Curious is all!

I built myself a press with fingers that are exactly like what's on the EZ press. There was a guy selling sets of them on AT that he cut out with a water jet. He's not selling them any longer so I needed to come up with an alternative and this is it. They work really good but would be impossible to make without a full machine shop. Here are some pics I have of my own press while I was building it.
