Will it get my cams outta time? Bow has been tuned by cbarber w/a WB rest. Decided that I might be putting a Ripcord Code Red on it. After install, will it need to be retimed?![]()

Not if the rest is set up right. just dont over tighten the cord follow the direction to the tee.
No ifs and or buts Just maybee.
Tie it into the cable down towards the bottom of the grip and time it so that it only comes up around the last .5-1" of draw length. The angle that the activation chord will be at when the launcher comes all the way up will be pulling the cable at a very tight angle as opposed to how it would pull if you tied it in closer to the middle of the grip. This should make it have much less of an impact on the cable/cam timing.
Attaching lower will also make the cord last much longer. With my first Code Red rest I attached the cord at 45deg to the cable and chewed the cord up after a couple of hundred shots. I changed the cord to BCY loop cord and lowered the attachment to the cable and have since shot hundreds of arrows with no sign of cord wear. Great rest by the way.
glad to hear all of these comments because i have been thinking of going to a different rest. i currently shoot with a LD but it makes A LOT of noise.
I have found that when splitting the cable and serving the cord between the cable, it will shorten that cable a half twist, so I take a half twist out when installing one if in tuned as is. Just seemed to work that way when I was going back and forth on a expert II or expert pro, use the longer cord for better angle as wisely given advice above and your GTG.
Wound up ordering a G5 Expert Pro instead. I prefer to not have to ever worry about timing issues. Is it a 100% guarantee that I won't have timing issues with the D Loop cord served into the up cable?

nothin is guaranteed, except death!
Interesting idea...I have had very good results with the code reds I've been testing.
