I added 3 twist to the string and took 3 twist out of each cable. It appears that I lost some draw weight as I'm at about 59.75 now but the crazy thing is still peaking at about 6.5". It looks like the draw lenght might have increased but very slightly. Did I mess up taking the string in 3....was I only supposed to go 1 in on it?

    Thanks!

1 1/2 more twists on each of the cables.
By doing this you are bringing your weight up.
Don't do anything to the string yet. If the DL feels too long ( and it really shouldn't) put a twist in the string. That will shorten the DL , but again take weight off.

I added the 1-1/2 twist to each cable and it did bring the draw weight up to 60.5. I shot it checked cam synch and draw stop and chronoed at 279. The weight is still peaking at 6.5" of draw. Will twisting up the cables and string maintain weight while making the draw peak later in the cycle?

There is some variance from bow to bow were they will hit peak weight i know kevin possted peak weight will hit at 7" but most of mine has been around 6" depending on what draw mod you are using mine is hitting at 6.25"
and on a 29" mod the bow measures 29.5 which is normal my brace is 7 1/16"
mine is slinging a 352grn arrow at 331fps if you need further help pm me your # and ill give you some pointers.

    Default draw lenght

you guys that are twisting strings and cables. could you help me with this. if your draw in 1/2 long, about have many twists to you have to add to factory string to get it to specs? if the magic number is 10, could you get same result by taking out 10 from the cables. or do they affect draw length differently?

    thnaks for any help

Adding twist is not a simple # it depends how much stretch your strings have what length they are to begin with.If you are using the factory set then you may not ever get it rite because in my experiance they will just keep stretching you will get your cables perfect put them on bow get it sinced walk away for a minuete come back and they changed take off and measure and find out they are 1/2"Long seen it several times with the stock vt strings

I think something else that is missing from this post that I have talked with you about TT is the fact you twist your strings under about a 100lbs of pressure to get the actual factory lengths. Just pulling tight on them with your hands is not going to get you the same as twisting them under 100lbs.

I thought Kevin said they should hit Max DW at 6.5" into the cycle.

When istart tuning a 07 nsynergy i bring the string to 56 1/4" and the cables to 37 3/4" with a 100# of stress on them and i measure from the tip of the loop to the tip of the other loop furthest point for further info on measuring string i think there is a post on here.Once you get them to these lengths you are really close to be tuned perfectly. From then on you will adjust the cables.Do not touch the string.you should be within 1 twist this is were you have to have a chrono to find the bows sweet spot.
