    Smile Fighting the summertime blues...

    Bluecats that is!

Every year when summer rolls around, I try my best to go into hibernation...every year I fail. I hate the heat, the hot sun, the :censored2: mesquitos, spider webs... There's not much I like about summer anymore...ive actually narrowed it down to only two things...beer tastes better and girls dress a bit more slutty. ...ive once again got sidetracked and jacked my own thread.

Anyhow, ive been having a little fun out on the river slaying the plentiful catfish population. In the past couple years ive finally gotten inside the mind of the bluecat and think like they think. I know when and where they are...and most importantly, I know what they like to eat. I have become one with the bluecat.

Here's some catfish carnage from a couple of my last outings. ...but like always, regrettably the big one got away. I had a huge HUGE HUGE cat breakoff after a short fight...I couldnt even believe how big he was, I just know he snapped my 30lb leader. ...but thats ok, I just wanted to see him and I did, but it woulda been nice to get a pic.

Let me know if any of you need any fillets and we can arrange a time for pickup. I have to make room in the freezer before I can resume slaying.

Nice fish haul. Nothing getting hooked up to a whoopper blue or flathead.

Nice job! Sounds like you definetly figured out the ever elusive Ictalurus furcatus.

We had a bear eat about 60 lbs. of flathead last month. I wish I'd had the trail camera out. We had 2 flatheads about 30 lbs each in a live tank at the edge of a creek waiting to be cleaned. We got in late so we through them in there till morning.
All we found was parts of the head and tail......and a bunch of bear tracks.

There's talk of a 2012 bear season for our county.....if so......I SHALL HAVE VENGENCE!!!!!!!

    Sorry for the hijack.

Looks like fun. We've been hammering the channel cats this year. We use Sonny's for our bait! That stuff is the bomb.

We've caught a couple hundred so far this summer.
