Default Going backwards for better shooting??

I got my Hooker release today, I went out to fling a few, I at least was able to get this release to fire on every draw, this has been difficult with other back tension releases I have tried. Taking a step back and re-learning is confusing to me. I am a pretty fair shot with my trigger releases. Heck my indoor average is 298 with 42 X's. In search of those few points and X's could prove to be a large commitment, BUT it must be the answer, most top pros shoot back tension.

I had to re-learn how to shoot properly (or at least close to it!) about 13 years ago. I had been battling Target Panic and thought I was through it but was still using my trigger release. I finally picked up a bt release and the little light finally came on in my head. It finally all made sense then. I still cannot shoot a index finger trigger release properly to this day. I can however shoot a thumb trigger for hunting without any problem.
I'm not a pro by any means but I can tell you that I believe you are well on your way to a 300 indoor score very soon. The biggest thing to learn is not to shoot tense, just relax. Don't force the shot. Just let it come to you. Let the pin slow down before you start the shot process. Good luck!

This is what I'm still learning. Though my groups have gotten better but still not as consistent as I could want to be.
