Last year I shot a FITA 70m head-to-head match against John Stubbs, one of our Paralympic Gold medallists from Beijing (2008). I managed to tie him in real windy conditions shooting my XLR. He finally beat me by being 2mm closer to the middle in a one arrow shoot off. We talked after and he said he was looking at getting an Elite.
I ran in to him again over the weekend as a spectator at our junior national championships, and got chatting. He has now been shooting an XLR for a while, and he has broken 5 paralymic world records this year with the XLR.
Best news is that I hear that Elite has sponsored him, and provided him with the bow.
Great that Elite is managing spreading the word here.
Have heard from a few others that some of the top archers (paralympic and able-bodied) are starting to take some notice of Elite.
Only wish I could shoot as well standing up as John manages from a wheel chair.
