    Default need help on xxl

Hi folks i just found this forum . any way -- I just purchased a xxl > rt hand 29" 60 lb victory 400 spine v force arrows at 28.5 in and 120 gr in the point and pin nocks and i am having some trouble tuning it. the ata is 35 3/4 ,brace 8" ,max peak is 57 lb at 1/4 turn off bottom. Is nock tavel supposed to be level ?Mine shoots bests at 1/8 high. center is around 13/16. On both cams the hole is showing 2/3 by the limb and the cables are touching the posts at rest . getting 275 out of 357 gr arrows. I guess my question is does all the above seem correct and how do you tell if the draw post is exactly on 6.9? Having trouble group tuning or getting a bullet hole on paper. Thanks folks sorry for the long windedness but when I called elite the fella in customer service couln't tell me were to look for center shot . By the way i shoot a release and use a lizard tongue #.10

Hey welcome to the Elite forum! Sorry no one has gotten back with you yet.

Do you have access to a bow press and a draw board? It's almost a necessity with these bows to get them in perfect tune.

The only thing that doesn't seem right is your poundage. Is the scale accurate? You could put a twist or 2 in each cable to increase the #'s.

What direction is the nock tearing through paper?

To set the cam synch you could pull your bow down on your scale and see if the stops on your mods are touching the cables at the same time. This is where a draw board comes in handy. There is some good info in the sticky at the top of this section about supertuned. I would say your cams might be out of synch a little.

the cables shouldn't touch the posts at rest, just a hair length away

the paper tear is a litle tail high. when i bullet hole the bow shoots way left. is the nock travel suposed to be level? the rest is at 7/8 when i bullet hole. also how do you get the cables off the post?

Nock travel on the Elites are pretty level. For a nock that is tearing high you raise the rest or lower the knock point. That should give you a bullet hole. Are you saying that you did that and that makes the arrow impact to the left?

The best way to find your center shot is to walk back tune. Are you sure you are not hand torqueing? Is the tear the same if someone else does it?

Yes Bowtechie if I shoot a perfect bullet hole at 3-9-15ft it shoots left. Now here is the crazy part- the bullet hole shot at night inthe garage ; doesnt shoot in the garage in the daylight. I have to move the rest {and i have two sets of marks for this] in the daytime to get a bullet. I did time the bow from a hanging chain in the garage . the bottom cam was hitting the cable before the top.One twist put it back in.i haven't had a chance though to shoot it yet though. thank you for the help
