What makes a guy decide to make a Frankenbow! Is it the engineer in some people? Do some people like to tincker? The love of setting up bows? Just wondering. Have any of you mad scientist came up with a bow that came out better than the origanal ones that were taken apart? I know if I took 3 bows apart to make one, you would end up with 3 junk bows

Putting Rev cams on most of the older line-up models is a big improvement, atleast to me it is anyways. Put Rev cams on my E-500 and its much more tolerable to shoot. Some people just like to have something "Different" than everyone else you know...

The E500's were quite long so the rev cams not only help the draw cycle but also solve the draw length issue. I tend to tinker when I'm bored late at night so that's when the lab lights stay on. Changing around limbs also allows for weights you might like better (65lbs etc.)

The need to be different and customize an already great design to meet our specific need(s) - In my case it is speed! Don't care much how it draws or loads or rolls over into the valley, etc. etc. If I can pull it back with confidence sitting down on the ground - then I want speed!!!!

Old 10PT wants to be able to shoot telephone poles at these poor critters, so his needs are slightly different than mine (e.g. efficency and Let-Off).

For me it is first to make it my dl. Everything else takes a back seat to that. All of mine have been put through the proverbial creative process and have come out better on the other side. I gain both speed and smooth draw. I like to tinker, I am always trying to find a better ATA or Brace that fits me. If what I have done helps others then great.
