I think as far as camo patterns go, it is pretty much personal preference. If you are going to hunt from a treestand, I'd go with Mossy Oak vertigo but its a little expensive. Realtree AP would be good, Lost is good, Mossy Oak Break up is pretty good too depending on how thick the woods will be where you are at. I'd also look at the new Mossy Oak Infinity.
What part of Indy are you going to be hunting? Predator brown or green will probably be good that time of year as well. I know my answer is probably not much help, depends on where you will be,
09 GT500
10 Z28
10 Maitland Retribution
Good for you ChevyB, My "new Elite" was an '08 GT500 a couple of months before archery season 2009 in Florida. Took a buck with it the second weekend out! Full pass through at 30yards. I'm so happy with it, I haven't even thought about another bow since!! GET SOME ELANORE!!!!!
I have shot probably 5 different brands and many different models and finally got around to an Elite a few months ago. I picked up a used Z 28 and a used GT 500 off of AT and have been shooting them alot. The Gt 500 is my favorite of the 2. I have never been able to shoot a bow as well as I can shoot the GT500. I don't know what it is but something about the bow works very well for me. I have an 08.5 and really like the DL specific cams , even like the way they look better. I am thinking about getting a 2010 later on and may just go " backwords " and swap somebody for " older cams".![]()
