Default Who can figure this one out?

So I refletched my arrows, took off a 5 grain wrap and refletched in the exact same weight miniblazers. Arrows started at 338 with wraps, after taking them off I weighed the arrow and it weighed 341 : 0 What the heck! Same point, same shaft, same fletching, different glue (went from reg fletchtite to platinum). That wasn't the problem though, can anyone figure out why the arrows came out heavy when in reality they should have been 5 grain lighter?

Thats pretty wild! Have you changed the batteries? My US-100 scale I have did that about a year ago and changing the battery fixed it!

Oh I've already figured it out and I was quite surprised. Batteries are good on the scale, weighed all my other arrows and all within 1 grain.

Glue isn't quite that sloppy, my eyes are bad but not quite that bad yet. : )

Just need to use "gov't math".

338-5, figure in a 5% acceptable error and you get a
range of about 318-348, so yes, 338-5 could be 341. What's the problem, Lol.

Actually no, its really quite simple. It has to do with how I took the wraps off.

Steam the water that didn't evaporate caused the extra weight?! Did I win?
