    Default Spanish Ibex Bowhunt

Spend a few days hunting this gorgeous animal, the Spanish Ibex.

As all high country hunting, you need to spend hours and hours glassing, until, not only finding a nice ibex, doing it on the rigth spot for a good stalk. You dont want to lose all day triying an almost imposible stalk.

It is the rut, and we could make a beautifull stalk to a group of ibex. In that group there was the male we were looking for, a five year old one. We got in to bow range, and I was able to make a nice shot to him at 40 yards. I will never forget the moment when I draw my bow and...

We spend the rest of the hunt triying to get a small ibex for food. We finally connect with one, not an easy task since the are always surrounded with experienced females.

Everything was professionally filmed for the TV, and hope to be able to share the video with you all soon. Here the teaser..

    Next trip to kyrgyzstan!

    Good luck in the woods!!,

thats pretty cool!!! the little one was a pretty small target huh? like shooting jack rabbits here in the states. Your film clip was really cool but was a teaser for sure!!!!! I hope you got the kill on video and just left it out of the clip for a bigger climax? I was looking for a little more, guess thats why they call it a teaser.

Both shots are on film. The shot of the big one is one of the most beatifull clips I have seen on tape. Behind the shoulder, tripod, Hi definition profesional camera, clear view of the arrow flight... Awesome!

The are editing the hole show, will put it here whenever I can.

    Thanks!!

    Thanks all for your comments.

Of course it was in Spain, we have some beautifull country here. It is the Beceite Ibex, on the eastern part of the peninsula. We have here four species of Ibex, that is the biggest one, but all of them are great.

    You should come!

    Good luck in the woods
