    Default Bow Press suggestion?

I'm looking to get a press for my Envy. What do you look for in a press, particularly for bows with parallel limbs?

Right now I don't see the need to use it much, so I was thinking of purchasing a portable bow press like a bowmaster. Any recommendations on the best portabel press?

But I'll expand it and welcome bench top press discussion, because that will probably be next years purchase...

Bowmaster works, takes alot of cranking, get a box wrench for it. I keep mine in the truck and use a Ultra(gritty on AT)press at home, its very similar in action to a xpress.

    Default press

I had the ultrapress it was an ok press nothing bad to say about it except it seemed to take a little more to adjust it from one bow to the next.I sold it and bought the EZ-Press from Last Chance Archery and this thing is the cats meow!Very easy to use and very gentle on the bow.Plus doesn't take much to adjust it from bow to bow.The down side it cost me 5 bills even with my dealer discount!

The X-Press seems to be an excellent press for parallel limb bows. I don't have one but both of the shops that I go to have one.

The EZ-press is definately not cheap, thats for sure. I saw one while researching. Nice edsign though, seems to make sense to me. I do worry a little about cam access due to the fingers at the limb tips though...

Here's a link to an inexpensive press that will press any bow, even the PSE bows

That looks about the same as the Gritty press. http://75.126.80.18/vb/showthread.ph...t=gritty+press

I was thinking of making my own. I got enough steel in my shop right now to build a heck of a nice one.

Guys, I dont want to bash anyones products but alot of the hydraulic presses are using the same materials and you need to watch out with them because some just are not using the right stuff. Here is a picture of what I am talking about and if you have one of these and your bow looks like this in it well its not good.

If you look you can see the square tubing used for the arm is twisted as well as the spanner pins. This press is no longer being made but like I said several are using the same materials in theirs. Just some food for thought.

The picture is too small. Can you make it bigger?
