Smile the EAF Fitness/Weight Loss Club!

Ive been wanting to start this thread sometime this month but im a terrible procrastinator. I cant go into detail cus dinner is about ready...but anyhow this thread is to help, motivate, and track all the club members goals.

    I guess I'll start:
Hello my name is cordwood and im out of shape. Im looking to lose about 25lbs and improve my cardio. My current weight right now before dinner is about 212 but im sure to bump that up to about 215 after dinner/dessert and a bedtime snack...goal weight 190# by 9/15/10.

Ok group, im just checking back in to update my progress. I ate a huge dinner and tipped the scale at around 214...ive since gone into the bathroom and jammed a finger down my throat bringing my weight back down to pre-dinner levels.

I saw this article today and figured id post it here to help us all along. Tip #6 is going to be particularly tough on me as im so used to others carrying my bags.

I'm in Cordwood. I need to drop about 25-30lbs myself.
I won't be sticking my finger down my throat though. Who knows where that thing has been.

    Default Im doing weight watchers.

    My starting weight was 359

Last weeks weigh in I gained 2.4 lbs. Just didn't eat well while in KC Pro tournament. Always tough on the road.

    My current weight is 331.

Been doing the weight watchers for around 17 weeks. I count points and know what foods I can eat and have a choice. Its working.

Losing the weight slowly in one or two pounds a week is the best for you.

    My day consist of

Bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. Sometimes two breakfast burritos from McDonald's.
    Subway 12" foot long
Chili or hamburger cooked with venison daily. Bowl of cereal, fiber cereal.

    Diabetes has improved
    Over all fitness is better.
I'm feeling allot better about myself.
I appreciate the support of my good friend Art Brown and his wife Monica.

I don't like being in front of the camera. Being a former world class weight lifter I let my weight gain after I stopped lifting at age 43. No one to blame but myself. Weight coming off and I am going to lose a 100lbs. 260 is my goal. I'm doing it for myself and my health.
    DB

I made this choice of weight watchers after researching weight loss surgery for two years. Best decision I ever made. I highly recommend weight watchers and attending the meetings and if you be honest and go weigh weekly it helps keep you focussed.

    My starting weight

    October 1, 2009---241lbs.

    January 3rd---232.5lbs.

    January 28th---216.5lbs.

I have gone from about 3000 calories a day to 1500 max per day. I eat 2 40 calorie hot dogs for breakfast, a 250 calorie salad for lunch, and a sensible dinner at night. I splurge on the weekends, allowing myself to each a 180 Schwann's silver mint ice cream bar.

I am gluten intolerent, so it helps that I can't eat bread, pasta, noodles, pizza, drink beer, etc. Ok, it sucks, but I'm following my diet well and feeling a lot better already.

DB, good for you on your success thus far.

I like the feedback so far!

For lunch today im eating a spinach salad with a couple hardboiled eggs all chopped up and mixed with some thousand island light dressing.

Later im gonna lift weights...high reps/light weight and do about 50 sit-ups. Then im gonna play Wii Tennis and Boxing til I break a sweat...anybody familiar with Wii boxing, my goal this eve is to KO 'Shouta'.

DB, stick with the program or im going to have to kick you out of the club. I hope you read the 'easy weight loss' article I linked. Get your fidget on...tap,tap,tap,tap,tap,tap.
