You have to put the bow on the draw board to see if cams are in sync, canīt do this with bow at brace.

Here is my GTO with the cams in time. Bow is in a draw board at full draw and the stops are touching the cables at the same time. Adjust cams to achieve this.

What makes the GTO loud is the cable post touching the cables at rest.
When shot they hit hard on the cables and cause noise, vibration and in worst case they will flex enough to slap the side of the limb. Mine wore slick shinny spots on the cam when I first got it. all from being out of time. Sync at full draw and time the cams at rest you will have a smooth fast accurate bow.
At rest you want the cable post about a 1/16 off the cables.
No ifs and or buts Just maybee.

I have mine set up just like Rick explained above. I use a business card for a gauge between the post and cable at rest. I have nothing on the strings of either GTO we have but a peep and D-Loop and they are plenty quite in my book. Make sure everything else is tight and you should be good to go.

I don't know if I posted this before or if somebody else did...sometimes the string suppressor rod is too long and it touches the mounting screw on the inside, when the string hits the rod the sound transfers thru the rod, screw then the riser causing a "THUNK' sound. you can cut a little off and then squirt a little silicone down in there and then put the rod back in. When it dries it gives a little dampening to it. Everything else seems to be covered.

James Reynolds just showed me this last weekend during a pro am tournament. Sense coming home and putting these cams in sync like what Rick/James are saying. The bow is shooting better than ever. You do not want that cam touching the cables. My accuracy was terriable pulling into the cables, way to many unexplained shots.

You may have those cams out of sync. It really doesnt sound that loud for a bow which is a speed bow. Draw the bow back and let someone look and see if the cams are touching the cables. JUst went through this on my XXL and once I used a draw board and set it correctly the bow is shooting so much better.

What is your rest coming down and hitting? Be 100% sure its not the assc on the bow. Quiver can add sound and vibration.

Just curious is the accuracy dead on right now. At 20yrds you should be busting nocks and arrows.
