I think the general concensus is that the BEST scopes are the Sureloc Black Eagle Swarovsky scopes, but man, do you pay a premium to get them!!!!!

IMO bang for your buck wise you can't beat the Shrewd scopes. I've got a few of them and a whack of different lenses and they're all REALLY clear and well constructed. I also have every size up-pin that they make (they make a lot!). I think the biggest selling feature for me on the Shrewd is the fact that the lenses are permanently capture in the retainer ring so that when you remove and replace the lense, it's back in the exact same position and orientation that it was the last time you had it in.
