    Default Z28 speed buttons??

I have a Z28 that does not have the speed buttons on it. What is the purpose of these and do they make a difference? And also, what are they made of?
I am just trying to decide whether or not to put them on?

I would fit them but they are not essential. A few fps increase and slight string dampening. http://www.bowhunterssupplystore.com...y-Buttons.html

Three nock points on both ends will do the same. Nock cushions also work.
I found a Bowjax string dampner also works as well. 4 inches from the axle. as long as there isnt anything else on the string.
No ifs and or buts Just maybee.

Use 3 of the red lined brass nocks on the string 4 inches down from each axle. If you want to use speed buttons you need to remove your string to get them on. Brass nocks just crimp on.

When using brass nocks is it mandatory to then use shrink tube on them? My GT500 also came without speed nocks.

nope, just makes it look cleaner. If you want to use the shrink tube you'll have to remove your string.
