When I order my Elite, I am seriously considering a 61-64# draw. I'm 6'0'' and 150#'s. I will be primarily hunting Texas whitetails, turkey and wildpigs from a ground blind. I believe, I'll be better off with the lower draw weight, when shooting from a seated blind position. I can comfortably draw 70# standing in a room temp store, but a chilly morning, seated is another matter.

I'm wondering what most of you guys like in a hunting arrow. What gpi do you like to use for sub-300lb game.

Do you stick "letter of the law" to spine charts, or with todays rests, like the Limb Driver, can you be a bit more flexible with your spine choices.

What brands and models do you suggest. I have been looking at Easton, Gold Tip, and Victory.

I will like to use Grim Reaper Razortip 100gr Extra heads and Starrflight FOBs.

Any suggestions and ideas, are gladly appreciated.

I've been shooting Easton Axix 360's with 100 grail Rage 2 blade out of the old Aigil 67 lbs.......All of my Elites have done well with an arrow on the stiffer side of the chart. Besides 425 graind flying in the 275-280 neighborhood sure pack a punch!

Same here, I have used Maxima hunters and GT 55/75 but have found that the axis really do get better penetration. I have regular axis and full metal jackets, depending on the setup I'm shooting that day.

I have been shooting 60-62 lbs for 30+ years and it is more than enough for whitetails.I prefer Easton ACC'S for hunting and still believe its the best arrow ever made.

I shoot Easton FMJ 340's which weigh 460 gr 280fps out of my 70lb Synergy. I also shoot Easton ACC's in 3-60/340 out of a 62lb Synergy also at 280fps and they weigh 405 gr. Anything around 400 gr that's moving 270-280 is smokin in my opinion and the more weight packs a really nice punch.

well,,, Quickdraw from ArcheryTalk talked me into shooting the Victory Hv 350X Ringer V1's w/ 100 grn Rage 2 blades and I couldn't be happier,, I get so much speed from these arrows and penetration from the broadhead, that shooting lighter arrows just allows me to use a single pin out to 30yards without changing adjustment,,, I shoot a 60lb Elite Envy at 27.5" with a 27 1/2 Victory arrow and it smokes! Great set up for a super fast bow,,

I am shooting Easton ST Epic 340's with a 75 grain Wasp Boss Bullet broadhead through my Envy and I am getting great arrow flight. My draw length 29.5 the bow is set at 65 lbs. The shafts are fletched with 4" Duravane vanes. The shafts are 28.5 inches in length. The broadhead actually weighs closer to 80 grains. My arrow program says that this shaft is slightly overspined. The broadheads impact at the same spot as the field points.

I forgot to add that the arrow weight is just over 6.1 grains per lb. of bow weight which is what we have to have here in Wash. State to be legal to hunt. The FOC is right at 8%.

All of my bows are 60lbs and the animals I have harvested never knew it. My last deer was taken from a natural blind. I was sitting Indian style when he stepped out of the brush and surprised me. I was very glad at that moment that my E-500 was set at 60lbs, we made a 47 yard shot and the animal went within sight.
