    Default Shoulder promblems are better

For the last month I have been doing some stength training on my shoulders and back. Use to hit the weights most of my life.

Arthitus has set in on my right shoulder.

Incresing the muscle tissue has improved the soreness I got from shooting.

I shot a full round of 60 arrows on Sat. Im really surprised that the soreness is not there. Going to go shoot a practice round tomorrow.

Honestly strength training does help with tendon and arthitus. Im hoping to avoid surgery if possiable. Im not quiting shooting.

Good Luck guys and if I can ever help wth suggestions on excersizes for strength. Please just pm and Ill be glad to give some suggestions.

I eating right and attending weight watchers as well. I feel this is just as much a part of it as everthing else.

Just an example of just one of the best excersizes ever for a archer would be upright rows. Works pretty much ever part of the upper body muscles needed to shoot a bow.

Link for upright rows. I place my hands closer together than this example.

You may not be getting your left shoulder down enough. Maybe a little bend in the elbow might help.

I'm just 52 and want to keep shooting competitive. I realized if I dont get back in shape this wont happen. Archery a great sport but you don't get the strength training required to stay in shape.

    Default 600 round

    Aleeve and lifting is helping.

I shot a 300 round this weekend back to back. 140 arrows.

No pain in the shoulder. Sure making shooting alot more fun.

Now need to get these back muscles in shape and shoot more.

I take two aleeve the day of the shoot and one ever day.
