Default How to make the gto whisper quiet?

Hello, just looking for advice on how to make this awesome bow a little more quiet. What puzzles me is I own two of these 60# versions both set up the same and one is much quieter than the other. Lets hear the tips out there, currently running limbsaver quads, and string leeches.

I have two GTO'S that are pretty quite. Have had groups come out and shoot one deer and the others go to alert but have no idea where I am or what happened and go back to feeding. Have had them run from the arrow when it strikes the ground. I have my limb bolts backed out an 1/8 turn, make sure bow is in time, and every thing else stock.

    Default tuning

My GTO was very quite when i first bought it then became very load after changing strings. Make sure everything is to factory specs and that the cams are in tune. I had timzim from Taz Archery tune it for me bow is shooting better then when I first bought it.

Usually a tuning issue if its noisy. My Syn was really noisy after cbarber tinkered with it a little, everything seemed to be on. So he played a bit more, and voila, very quiet now, and took away alot of perceived hand vibes. if ya need a tune, consider sending it to him as well. I am more than happy with the speeds I am getting now, still would like to try speed mods on the Envy wanna be.

Make sure it is in perfect tune...Also trade ot the bowjax for simms...If speed isnt a must you may lose a few fps but string leaches or try putting some on the cables as well...Hope this helps...

i've heard of these being cut and placed under the limbs as a "hush kit"

maybe some one who has done it will give a better description of placement. ie: before the rockers or after the rockers on the riser part.

I bought 2 GTO's (30" draw) at the same time and one was noticibly louder than the other out of the box. When I looked the 2 bows over I found that the gap where the cable attached to the post was almost touching the cable at rest. By adding a few twists to the string, this opened up the gap between the 2 and took away the excess sound. I then put on my draw board and tuned. Both are fairly quiet now.

There is also another thing to think about, sometimes the e-supressor rod is touching the mounting screw. If there is no air gap in there then the noise gets transferred to the riser right there, sort of sounds like a tin can getting kicked. Cut the suppressor rod a little and some of that will disappear as well. Make sure that your cable rod set screw is tight as well.

As far as the sims insulator strips cut them to length and place the behind the rocker and be sure that it does NOT go on top.
