I did the same thing and I gained 10 fps same arrow same
poundage. 60lbs limbs maxed out to 62lbs 306 gr arrow = 306 fps
70 lbs limbs @ 62lbs 308 gr arrow = 316 fps Not to sure why.

Ive always been told the opposite ,,, But ,, I have an 08.5 29" 80lb Z28 that is turned down to 72lbs and is hitting 313fps with 370grns ... My frien has the same bow but a 70lber same dl maxed at 72lbs and is only getting 307fps through the same chrony and same arrow. Like I said Ive always heard that you get "more" out of a bow that is maxed out at said poundage then one turned down to said poundage. But this isnt the case from what we have both seen.
This is a guess so don't take it as gospel. I'm not saying this is true with all bows, but with some when you back the poundage down alot it increases the measured draw length. This would add to the measured power stroke and therefore have a longer power stroke than a bow that is maxed out and the draw length is right on. Does that make any sense?
Chuck Norris and Mr. T walked into a bar. The bar was instantly destroyed, as that level of awesome cannot be contained in one building.
