    Default E-500 questions

I'm getting a friend into archery and have come across an E500 at a decent price. I see that it is modular adjustable, are mods still available? Also, the cams, what style, 2-track binary, 3-track, other? I have a GT500, is the E500 near it in performance? Draw comparisons? Thanks in advance for any info- Steve

Mods are draw specific and not adjustable unless you have 07 Synergy cams on this 06 bow. I'm not sure if Elite still has any 06 mods available (they should have a few) but there are many members who have mods they might be willing to sell. The bow is a three track binary. I think speed wise the bows you mentioned will be very close. The GT500 is probably quieter on the shot and the E-500 will have a slightly stiffer draw cycle. The E-500 is one of my favorite all time bows and why I still have three of them.

I think the E-500 is Elite's best bow todate (Texas, I also like the 6 5/8 BH energy LOL) ..... I still have several myself.... @ 64lbs 29.5 #2 speed mod 321gr arrow used as a 3D bow this year 331fps @ 64 lbs all mine are shooting 377 gr hunting arrows in excess of 300 fps 301- 306... same arrow
    GT-500 @ 29.5 #2 cam 64 lbs @ 298 so yes close but I prefer my E-500's.

E-500 is a good bow, but Dan I like my 6 5/8" better but you and 10pt are correct great bow.

Hey the 6 5/8 Energy & Envy really close in my opinion, but my preference would be to give the E-500 the nod after all it's the bow that started it ALL... LOL........

I always thought the 8" was first then the short to pick up some speed and finally the 7 7/16".
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not
me, I want people to know "why" I look this way. I've
traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.
