Default Do I need a linear press for a GT 500?

I recently switched from Bowtech to Elite and have a 08.5 GT500. I was wondering if I need a linear press to work on this bow? I currently have an older TOAD press and a Bowmaster, will these work safely?

My local Pro Shop uses Sure-Loc X-Presses to work on Elite bows. So, no, you don't need a linear press. In fact, the fingers on linear presses need modifications to allow room for the draw-stops on the Revolution cams.

I am not familiar with either of those presses you mentioned, so I can't say if they'll work or not.

The older Toad press will work if you just need to pull strings or something minor like that, but I don't believe that you will be able to relax the bow enought to change limbs. I aslo think that it could void your warranty but not sure on that. I have a Bowmaster press and have used it in the field with no problems and that is working on my 100# GTO When I'm off on a long hunt I don't leave without it. I bought one of Toads newer presses and it is very reasonably priced built very well and has no problems relaxing the limbs to remove them.

    Hope this helps,

I use the Older Toad press with kicker and it works just fine.. especially on the GT500's where the limbs aren't too parallyl..... I even use it to relax limbs with No issues what so ever...
