What's the "dumbest" thing...

It was the first D loop I had put on a string, and was pulling the bow back to test it, and it let go. Put an arrow through the duct work, near the ceiling. My wife who was upstairs watching TV killed the volume and hollered "What was that?". I hollered back "I didn't hear anything, what are the neighbors doing next door?" After a pause the TV volume went back up, and I quietly removed the arrow.

Heh! Would've been funny if the shaft penetrated the ceiling/floor and was sticking through....then you'd have a peep hole to spy on the TV shows she's watching!

I was setting up a bow in the HOOTER SHOOTER & wasn't looking & my daughter was standing in front of the bow & I had an arrow ready to send down range!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I snatched the arrow out so fast, then I started fussing at her. Then I stoped & said, I'm sorry!!!!! It was me being stupid & not looking for my child.

YIKES! That would have stopped my heart...nice reflex to grab the arrow. I become the "nag-king" when I take my girls to the range with me.

I performed my own little broadhead test..................on my leg! Turns out grim reapers open up very nicely. I didn't think that they were that sharp, but the 3 inch gash on my leg says otherwise. You could pull the skin off of my leg just like skinning a deer. But I didn't feel stitches were necessary. By the way, this happened 2 days ago so I'm still healing. Word of advice, be extremely careful when handling broadheads. They were designed to cut and they do just that. Acts of stupidity yield bad results.

About 10 years ago I was bowhunting in a pine tree about 15 ft. up. Had a great evening but only saw does. Anyway I grabbed my fannypack and put it on my back and grabbed my bow and just stepped off the stand as if to walk home. forgot i was 15 ft. up. Luckily I was in a pine because I hit every limb on my way down and landed on my backside bow in hand. Got up dusted myself off and contineud my walk. Still to this day i have no idea why i just stepped off my stand. Well other than a few bruises i was very lucky. Wish I had it on video.

Needless to say I was a little ticky all day. Some of the people I was shooting with were talking about the stolen bow. Listening to them and not concentraiting on what I was doing, set my scope for 55 yards and drew back on the laying down deer target. I held steady and pulled through with proper back tension. The bow exploded in my hand and suddenly I realized I never loaded an arrow.

No safety harness? I wouldn't trust myself in a tree w/o being tethered to it.
I would have flown to Vegas at that point and put it on 7-black! You are one lucky man!
