dynamic or static weight
Ok guys I have seen this thrown out there and forgive me if this has been posted but what is the difference??? Or how are they defined?????

Just the choice of words flybyjohn used to describe the phenomena he observed. Dynamic meaning while moving, which is the way it will be measured at a shoot or by the game warden (who else cares).
When you stop in the middle of drawing it gives the limbs, actually the whole system, string, draw strap, cable loops & even the riser & winch time to stretch, flex, stabilize, whatever. The strain gage measures this relaxation but as soon as you resume drawing the weight goes back up.

Thanks for your reply Bruce. From what I get from what you posted is:
1. Dynamic is the weight while the string is being drawn or in action.
2. Static is the weight while the string is being held in one position.
