Coincidentally, I helped my favorite neighbor unload a **** ton of Class B fireworks yesterday...every ****ing box had 'made in China' written all over it. Anyhow, at 9:15pm tomorrow I get to put a torch to em.

OMG its hot out...like 115 with the heat index. For the very first time in my life, im actually thinking that maybe I wish I was a yankee.

Im gonna slide out real quick to go fry an egg up on the asphalt.

Speaking of cooking, I made my first batch of venison jerky the other day. Im not poaching again...just still have a bunch of hindquarters that need to turn into burger. So anyhow, this coming up season (which starts Sept. 1!) im going to dedicate a ton more meat towards jerky. My first attempt at it in a reg oven on low heat and slightly open for 5hrs and the stuff is 10x better than Jacks Links! All I need to do is tweak some marinades...but im surprised how easy and good it turned out.

This is gonna save me approx $300 a year!
