Default Question on using a Q.A.D. HD rest

I just got my 09 z-28 from the factory, I guess all left handed bows from elite are built by order only. The person I had spoke with prior to ordering said they corrected the rest hole issues. So I have been trying to tune my bow in and have found that the arrow seems to be dragging on the rest. Not sure what to do to correct the issue so thought I would start here. Thanks guys...

P.S. so far I love the bow

When setting the tension on the cord make it just enough to bring the rest up the last bit just as you reach full draw. Too little tension, if you creep it will not drop. Too much, and it won't drop fast enough. Rest should cock the last little bit in the last 1/2" of draw or a hair less. The launcher arms should fall down to 90 degrees from full cock position to activate the LD feature.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not
me, I want people to know "why" I look this way. I've
traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

It's all in the timing of the rest. Make sure to tie in the pullcord even with the bottom of the grip for the fastest drop. Then as mentioned, have it come up to the full up position in the last inch to 1/2 inch of draw. Set it like this and you won't have any clearance issues.

look at this link I posted:

So the gentleman that set up me bow put the string on the down cable where it meets the top of the handle. The bad part is that he did not use the cable clamp nor did he give it to me. I went ahead and bumped my knock point up slightly but it's raining so I will have to wait and see if that helped. Thanks guys for the assistance. Also thanks for the link/pics Rgarbarino

Not everyone, even at "pro" shops know how to correctly set up bows. Lots of guys are great at it but there are just as many who have no business touching someones bow for money.

Don't mess with the nock point any further if your pull cord is at the top of the grip. Hopefully he didn't cut the cord short and left you plenty of extrea on the other side of the thumb flipper otherwise you will have to get a new piece of pull cord. If the extra is there just remove the serving around where the pull cord is tied in now. Loosen the not and take the pull cord out of the thumb flipper end. Now work the part of the pull cord that's between your down cable so it's even with the bottom of the grip. Put the end of the cord back through the thumb flipper, not very easy but it can be done. Have someone serve around the pull cord if you don't know how to do it yourself and retime the rest. You will be good to go.
