My first Flathead cat...and he's big!

Woot!!! When he hit, I figured it was a big ole bluecat because I was using cutbait and thought Flats only hit live stuff.

Eitherway, he fought like a champ but it wasnt enough to break the line so now he's dead and in the freezer!

I hear they taste better than blue and channel cats...so im looking forward to when im feeling like eating fish again (havent been in the mood lately

). He was 30+" so I got a couple thick fillets and nice belly steaks.

I was impressed how wide his head was...cool looking fish.

Flatheads and blues are the best eating. I havn't eaten channel cat for a long time. Those big boys eat tooo good.......
